Tim Roberts, Senior Leader
Watford Community Church - Watford, England
Tim and Helen Roberts have been leading WCC since 1998; they have been members there since 1995. Both of them serve on the Senior Leadership Team, of which Tim is the Senior Leader. Tim and Helen met while serving with Norwich Youth for Christ, married and came to the Watford area in 1994. Tim earned a Bachelorâ??s degree at London School of Theology (formerly London Bible College) while Helen worked in hotel management. They live in West Watford and have two young daughters, Bethany and Hannah, and a son David who arrived in 2005.
The call on Tim and Helen’s lives is to serve by leading (and lead by serving) a radical, wholehearted church that is overflowing with the Holy Spirit and well-grounded in the truth of the Bible. Tim’s focus is on leading, teaching and missions, while Helen’s heart is for children and families. Tim serves and leads in various ways among Watfordâ??s churches, and is the Moderator of Christians Across Watford and Trustee of the Town Centre Chaplaincy. He is also World Ministries Geographical Director for Africa North. Tim as you can see is one happy man who is seldom bored!
Pastor David Benson and his wife Pamela are English, coming from Manchester, England in 1997, and were leaders in the Assemblies of God church there. Both David and Pamela served on national and regional teams in the Assembly of God. David served as an overseer of probationary pastors and as part of the A.O.G. national conference planning team. He was also one of the national training team members for the country wide J.I.M. evangelistic project. David currently serves on the national spiritual oversight board for the internationally known evangelistic group, The Power Team. Pamela is responsible for starting over 20 pregnancy crisis centers. They now together are the Senior Pastors at Grace Creek Church in Longview, Texas. Pastor David and his wife Pamela of 31 years have three children and eight grandchildren.
